As of June 1, 2022, Greece has joined other countries of the European Union in removing the mandate for indoor masking in public spaces as a mitigation for COVID-19 spread, that has become optional ever since.

The above given, we strongly recommend that in-person Assembly participants (i) be fully vaccinated for COVID-19; (ii) wear masks as much as feasible while in indoor Assembly premises; and (iii) frequently disinfect their hands using disinfectants and/or water and soap. Avoiding handshaking to the extent possible and using the standing microphones in session rooms without touching them, or the existing individual microphones available in some Assembly halls, would be appreciated.

In cases in infection, we ask that the concerned participants avoid Assembly areas and aim to participate virtually from isolated settings.

The Organizing Committee and the PCO, AFEA Travel & Congress Services, are closely monitoring the course of COVID-19 pandemic both nationally and internationally and fully complies with all measures set by health authorities and local governments. In this respect, all instructions, guidelines and recommendations that will be set by all component authorities and which will be valid for the Congress period will be fully respected, in order to ensure the health and safety of all parties involved.
